met up with GiomPalo, resturant owner-Levi-riding buddy. . and his brother Luca, and David Vitoria, Italian all they're primary language. GP told me about Greg LeMond coming into the resturant during the tour of Cali, staying from 6 til 1 in the morning. . he and bunch of cronies. Giom Palo said he was a nice dude. . . just doesn't like Lance, is all. David and Luca went the short way home and GP and I went and did some climbing. . the last climb up Kortum Canyon where the road is STEEP and bike path narrow in places, right up into the vineyards on the mountain side, then turns to dirt at the top, and drops you out of Napa into Sonoma County on the otherside. .. i had 3 great days training. i think i have a good idea of where i 'm at again, after 3 weeks of feeling around in the dark. ..
