Check out things happening in Rwanda. . .
Tom Ritchey and Jock Boyer and many others are launching a soon-to-be recognized national Rwanda cycling team. it doesn't get any more REAL than this. . . check out some of Jock Boyer's reports at http://www.projectrwanda.org/ to get play by play action of how things are developing.
There will be books written about this one. ..

Why did you take off the doctored photo of you with the Rwanda group. It was funny a.S. I was hoping to show it to some of my friends for a laugh.

hey chico.

i somehow found your site. thanks for putting up something on cycling in africa. rwanda would be quite the hilly but beautiful place to cycle. i'm sure i've been seeing more and more bikes with gears around uganda (rather than the universal 1-speed iron horse or hero). nash (the kenyan dude you met in jinja) has started his own company offering bike tours out of jinja and has fixed a bunch of bikes up that he bought in the market in kampala, good on him.

i'm sure you could find quite a few world class cyclers out here if they knew they could have a chance.

i'm at work procrastinating, something i'm quite good at lately. trying to figure out how you are doing in those races of yours. you are living quite the epic! good on you, mate.

good to see your beautiful niece and nephew and hear your dad's doing ok.

take care. greetings from kampala kampala. hasta luego.

bethany
