short crazy stage today. 2 koms, only 48 miles. disco! we started w/ a 10 mile down hill. disco . then, we hit the first climb, about 5km long. Healthnet riding at the front, Oneal in the jersey. 2 dudes go up the road. . at about 800m from the kom i lit out up the left side. . but, when i jumped, i really didn't take off like i was hoping . . it sort of hurt. . i got one point over the top. . then we rolled and decended. i literally saw smoke flying for dudes locking their breaks and fish tailin' .. disco. then we hit the 2nd climb. . started dumping rain. . a group of 40 or so over the top. Garcia went off the front with a group, then attacked the group like a champ, but probably a 5 or 6 mile too earily. . moninger got off the front for a bit too. but i guess it got pulled back too .. and that bunch of 40 or so came to the line Menzies took the stage from HN. .. vitoria flatted soon after Garcia hit it up the road. he dropped back, i think sayers gave him his wheel, and McKissik started drilling him back up to the front group, then when they came to me McK pealed off and i took over, and about 3-4 km later, Gavin and the team car came up through the shatered peleton and we jumped on the bumper, but when Gavin punched it i poped. but Vitoria got back on. Good job McSickness/Sayer/team thing were sort of haywire all day. but BMC survived. ps. i declare blog war on www.garciasoup.blogspot.com
