kings ridge again today.
the sky was threatening the entire time.
only a few spots of rain,
but wet roads in places,
where dank tree canopies held moisture
to the moss greened pavement.
slick, like snot.
Levi's cronies didn't show today,
too late a night last,
and also,
Levi had a dinner party appointment tonight:
a nerving combo.
i.e, likely would he want to "punch"
through Kings (as if that could be done easy)
and get home in time to drive to Marin county for food and friends.
I invited Bradely from West County Revolution and Organic Athlete, and Giampaolo came, who like the other Santa Ros'ites
was out too late last night at his resturaunt
b/c the infamous "Fightin' Boabas" a local ameteur/masters/seniors
cycling team came to the Riviera and had dinner,
a few bottles of Sonoma county wine
which let to dancing.
The day sort of calibrated to the vibe of the
ominous weather,
and it seemed the whole day we were riding like our lives
depended on it.
which, kind of..
at least our well being certainly did!
some where,
in the narrow,
one lane rolling stretch of Kings,
the 20 mile road that if you took any 1km of it
and put it in another place
would be your all time favorite
the place you'd take all your friends when you rode;
somewhere near the remote
golden/bronze buddist temple
way out in the "middle of nowhere"
--some say situated at the 'eye of the dragon'
formation of the mountain topographics,
i desided to make the ride a 5 hour mediation.
there were rock climbs,
somewhere high on the Diamond on Longs,
or in the deapths of the Black Canyon,
where i spent the day light full spectrum
in a sort of full-aware "living like a weisel" immediacy/survial awareness
that would become quiet,
hours-long meditation.
an event,
a memory,
not with climax,
rather a full bodied,
fully felt and experienced satifaction.
a saturated high
that could never be purchased,
fabricated,
inhailed. .
but a memory experience.
a personal private notch on belt,
one that only you and the intimate
person(s) of your company understand.
how can i punch a price tag on any of this?
