everybody is flying home today.
I'm already back as of last night in nearby sebastopol.
The Team Camp this year was a huge success. .
not a hic'up the entire week.. and even with the bad weather,
we were able to make it all happen.
Qatar roster leaves the US next monday, of which I'm a part of ..
we have a team presentation in Zurich Switzerland on that next Tuesday when we land,
then it's off to desert country for a 6 day stage race.
Now off on my town bike to get groceries... a little bit of normal living before racing sweeps me and my teammates away. .
Thank you BMC management and staff!!! you rocked these past 2 weeks!

Nice work BMC! Cant wait to see Scott up on the podium in Qatar!
I gotta say it.
Nydam, when those swift kids look at this blog and see you not wearing a helmet on the bike they will probaly wanna do the same.
Yea Nydam, Im with schmatz, remember when you put that post up
tyler,
you wanted some words of wisdom? ..
keep wearing that brain protection equipment when you ride. .. you need to follow your own words of wisdom bud! ha have a great time in Qatar and I want to see a jersey when you get back...
wow. i have to say scott has been pinned to the wall with hypocrisy.
and i'm with dan. and tyler.
tyler,
a) if you get dropped on a climb,
don't ego descend and try to impress those that dropped you.
there's no reason to go so fast on descents, especially in training.
b) i stay well within my bounds of safety on descents. Ask Levi, he has to wait for me every time. .
and i'll say that every day that we have trained together this year, we've been helmet clad.
c) i still believe my words of wisdom.. . dan's too. dan is more militarist about it. but if he was at helmet boot camp, they'd bust his chops to tighten that dangling chin strap that has waving at his kneess during field sprints. kindof counterintuitive.
d) i am a hypocrate. so is everyone, we are all walking contradictions. there are things we have a beef about, then we turn and neglect other crucial issues. we all better start thinking for ourselves. therein lies security.
man blogs are bad.
no Ty,
that's not refering to you,
that's not refering to your behavior.
you ride like a champ, smart and poised.
i was refering to a horrible crash i wittnessed due to someone taking unnecessary risks, riding outside physical parameters of reasonable saftey all the while wearing a helmet which def helped when that person crashed but could have should have never happened if something wouldn't have driven that person to take things to the limit. .
wearing a helmet makes you more protected, but doesn't nec mean your fully using that brain youre trying to protect.
