Lance

ron nydam update.
my dad is kicking cancer butt.
he was able to go home earlier in March.
he remains positive and fighting..
doing so well, that it's not a decision,
but, i think an owning up to his situation,
accepting it.
"fight" is just now part of his life.

but, he's been able to some work,
visit his office,
even taught a class again a few weeks ago
before the start of Chemo round 2.
today he's going to see some clients,
so a good sign of his capacity right now,
that he has something to give.

yesterday went in for a couple units of blood
and some platelets. .
as his blood count has dropped, now a few days after
ending round 2 of chemo. . and was to be expected.
but, he's been able to do out patient chemo this time.
which has been a blessing.

tomorrow he goes to find out about a bone marrow transplant.
the queen stage.

I'm assuming, by reading the names involved here, that this is Scott Nydam, brother to Aaron & Trevor?

We grew up with you Nydam boys in Denver. This is Bethany Dykman (now Crandell).(My Dad is Tom Dykman - was pastor at Hillcrest while your Dad was at 3rd CRC). My husband is seriously into Mt. biking and I saw your page while googling something.

I'm very sorry to hear about your Dad. It sounds like he's in a good place with all of it though. We'll keep your family in our prayers.

It looks like you're doing awesome things riding - keep it up!

Best to you all from sunny San Diego!
-Bethany
