US OPEN SATURDAY !

I wasn't planning on this one, but i think that Moninger backed out, or, they decided to try to protect his form for the Tour de Georgia. It should be a fun race, big hype, and another chance to fish for the break away, maybe a little tv time. life in Sonoma county has been great. . i've had some rides south, toward Pt Reyes on the coast, through Tomales Bay, Marshall-Petamula rd, rolling-green-as-can-be pasture lands, so wide open, one day i think i went at least 2 hours not touching my breaks .. re visitations to the coleman valley climb (stg 1 ToCA) right off the coast to do intervals, sea fog and surfers, couples making out mid day on what they thought were untraveled roads, goats, cows, graveyards, abandoned school houses, the Fools Day parade in Occidental where i would have fit in with tights (or "uni-tard" as Jennifer calls it) and shaved legs if only i had a wig and mid-evil hat with bells. .. thoughts, two weekends defending the leader's jersey, missing out on would-be best results/opportunities for the sake of team, greater goods; future chances, past mishaps .. . family, friends unparalleled support, hoisting the rescue boat while getting crushed by repeated white caps.
