we let the leash out a little too far on a big break that went early .. hoping that they'd gobble up the first time bonus sprint at 30min into the race. . the break ended up having 13 substantial riders who must have been drilling it (3 jittery joes 2 Nav's and others) once we started riding hard trying to bring it in a little, the time gap held at about a minute lap after lap, no matter how hard we pulled. . which was a little difficult on the mind to know we had to ride that hard for the next hour. . .but, greed takes over in those break aways. . people working together quickly changes to riders working against each other. . as soon as people start thinking about what best they could get out of the deal . . and as a we demolished our selves on the front--even Moninger had to ride hard, we brought the break down to 20 secs with a couple laps to go, which was close enough to secure the overall win. . . it was def a tight spot there for a while. . . moninger held on to 1st, Mckissik 3rd, me 6th, and Vitoria 10th . .Gavin happy.
